During the 2023 British Open Squash Championships at The Rep Theatre in Birmingham, I took the opportunity to perform a short adaptation of Hamlet’s famous soliloquy as part of the event broadcast.
Having previously used the piece during drama school auditions, it seemed a fitting setting to revisit Shakespeare in one of the UK’s leading theatres, albeit with a sporting twist.
A small moment that combined two long-standing passions: broadcasting and performance.
